Our Foundational Principle

Addison Care exists to protect, extend, and improve human life.

Its intelligence will never be used to exploit, manipulate, monetize vulnerability, or influence behavior for commercial gain.

Healthcare intelligence must be bounded by ethics, not capability.

1. Data Stewardship, Not Ownership

Subscribers retain ownership of their identifiable personal and health data.

Electronic Caregiver acts as a steward and processor of this information solely for the purpose of delivering health monitoring, safety, and care coordination services.

We do not sell identifiable subscriber data.

2. Retention & Archiving

In accordance with federal and state law:

  • Certain health-related records may be retained for 7–10 years depending on jurisdiction.
  • In New Mexico, retention may extend to 10 years.
  • Data required for regulatory, reimbursement, or legal compliance cannot be deleted prior to mandated retention periods.

Subscribers may request deletion of non-mandated data categories at any time.

3. AI Transparency

Addison may use:

  • Rule-based logic
  • Machine learning models
  • Predictive analytics
  • Generative AI components

Addison does not autonomously diagnose, prescribe, or make final medical determinations.

AI outputs are decision-support tools used in conjunction with licensed or certified professionals, and structured care workflows.

4. Ambient & Activity Monitoring Disclosure

If enabled, Addison may:

  • Detect general activity patterns within the home
  • Monitor device usage patterns
  • Detect changes from baseline movement trends

Addison does not:

  • Continuously record audio
  • Conduct hidden surveillance
  • Sell behavioral profiles
  • Monetize activity data

Monitoring categories are disclosed during setup.

5. Non-Exploitation Commitment

Addison will never:

  • Sell identifiable health data
  • Steer users toward specific providers for financial gain
  • Manipulate behavior unrelated to health and safety
  • Prioritize advertiser, insurer, or commercial interests over patient welfare

6. Human Oversight

All clinical determinations remain under licensed human authority.

Addison augments care. It does not replace clinicians.

7. Right to Reset

Subscribers may:

  • Request a copy of their data
  • Request reset of learned personalization models (subject to retention laws)
  • Revoke data-sharing authorizations
